Deposit management It is important to update the deposit on a regular basis, independent of the Depositor's objectives. The most common triggers to update the deposits are: a Annual LOGITAS request (most common case) a A new major version is available, a Upon specific request of an End User or Authorized Third Party (e.g. for final acceptance of a delivery). Any creation of a body of evidence of ownership of an IT asset must entail the creation of consistent and accurate deposits which are escrowed in order to acquire a "certified date of deposit", even if the actual legal value depends mainly on the consistency and completeness of the IT deposit. Updates The Depositor can deliver new versions, source manager database, documentation, database, etc. to LOGITAS within the annual contract period. He/she will have to prepare the update according to the LOGITAS procedure defined for the previous deposits. The deposit must be performed in duplicate and sent to LOGITAS with the relevant "Honor declaration" by post, messenger or any other convenient means. Such deposits will not be subject to any LOGITAS Verification nor incur additional fees. Upon receipt, LOGITAS will update the Deposit Certificate and send it to the Depositor. The one day on-site verification that is included in the annual LOGITAS contract, also supports implementation of an efficient IT back up procedure and review of the improvements made since the previously verified deposit. The key is not that LOGITAS check every deposit or update, but that the deposits are properly built and validated in order to be useable for years in the future. These intermediate deposits will only be verified upon formal request by the Depositor (maybe after an End User request) and at his cost.
